Mission and Areas of Focus

To provide an administrative 'umbrella' organization for research/service projects of a general social scientific nature. Although currently inactive, it is intended to house projects directed by UWF faculty and staff and to serve as a point of contact for persons outside the University who wish to become involved in research or service projects of a social scientific nature. The Center is to conduct research pertinent to Gulf Island National Seashore on the impact of hurricanes on social and biological aspects of the affected areas. [Social Science]
