CONGRATULATIONS

Awards for the Week of August 13, 2008

Dr. Phillip Darby has been awarded $8,225 from the National Parks Service for a project titled "GC-CESU: Development of Science Products for the Learning Center of the American Southwest." The Southern Plains Inventory & Monitoring Network (SOPN) consists of eleven NPS units in Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Texas. Effective transfer of scientific information is critical to the success of the program. The primary delivery system will be the internet via the Learning Center of the America Southwest (LCAS). The primary objective of this project is to develop a suite of background products that will set the context for science information being distributed through the Learning Center. These products include resource introductions, resource overviews, resource fact sheets, and project summaries. If you would like further information on this project, please contact Dr. Darby at 850-474-2647 or via email at pdarby@uwf.edu.
